Guidance is given with
university applications at undergraduate and graduate levels.
The three terms of the Diploma course are timed to coincide with the British University academic year. Each term we aim to raise students' International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score by approximately one point. If, for instance, a student begins the Diploma Course in October with a score of 4.5 in IELTS, with a concerted effort on their part, we would expect to bring their score up to the equivalent of 7.5, which is the entrance requirement of a graduate Law degree at a University of standing in the UK.
Both the London Language Centre Certification and IELTS tests form the basis of evidence of students' English language proficiency and have been accepted in the past by UK universities for our students' entry onto undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.
students begin the Diploma at a lower level of English, they will have
the option and time to enrol on a summer Pre-Sessional Course at a
recommended academic institution in order to achieve the level required
of the degree programme of their choice.
The Application Procedure
Practical assistance is given to potential undergraduates throughout Term 1 in applying for degree programmes through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). Graduates are similarly assisted in their application procedure to universities for postgraduate programmes of their choice. We encourage students to apply for a wide selection of universities throughout the UK. All students will need to bring a reference (in English) from their previous academic institution to accompany their university applications.
